When looking at the flex rankings, it's interesting to see where some of the players that fantasy managers had drafted in earlier rounds are at by the middle of the season. Sterling Shepard, for example, is firmly in the flex range. He has been dealing with a hamstring injury and tried to warm up for Week 7, but wasn't able to play. Even if he is able to go in Week 8, he will be hard to trust.
Jarvis Landry returned from injury in Week 7, but he did tweak his leg during the game. It does seem that he should be okay to play in Week 8, but that is what puts him in the flex category. He is the Browns' best pass catcher and he should have a good game against the Steelers — if he's healthy. Fantasy managers need to keep an eye on the practice reports this week to make sure that some flex options are active.
