Flex rankings for Week 9 of the fantasy football season are largely more of the same even with six teams on bye this week. The top 15 contains a lot of familiar faces but once you get past that you may see some surprises.
For example, there are some names, such as Keenan Allen, that most expect to find higher up in the rankings, but the numbers really haven't been there to this point. Just keep in mind that it was the second half of last season where he really took off so maybe he's just a late bloomer. He's not a top-15 option right now, but the potential is still there.
Nick Chubb lands in the top 25 again as he has assumed feature back duties for Cleveland and is one of higher projected scoring games this week. James White has been fantastic in PPR leagues and has worked his way into the top 20 this week. James Conner (Le’Veon who?) checks in at No. 8 after an impressive performance last week against the Browns.
Running backs like Sony Michel, Jordan Howard and Matt Breida have become question marks either due to lingering injuries or diminishing returns. I think they are ranked appropriately, but there could be movement for any or all depending on how this week develops on the injury front.
Plenty of guys on bye as well so be sure to check the waiver wire if you're lacking viable starting options for this week.
Teams on bye: Arizona, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, New York Giants, Philadelphia
