Flex Rankings: NFL Fantasy Week 9

Michael Carter may be the main guy for the Jets following the Breece Hall injury, but that doesn't make him a must-start in fantasy.

I typically highlight a player I like more than most in my fantasy positional rankings, but for my Week 9 flex rankings, I'm going to do the reverse and discuss a player I like far less this week than most.

That player is New York Jets running back Michael Carter.

I think Carter is talented. But he's not talented enough to carry a team on his own like say someone like Derrick Henry. And the J-E-T-S right now are a massive load to carry. Second-year QB Zach Wilson seems to be struggling again and his WRs aren't happy.

Meanwhile, Carter has not been bad, but 3.5 yards per carry is not going to get it done either. And I don't see that improving against Buffalo, who is allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points to RBs per game this season.

And we haven't even discussed newish Jet James Robinson and his impact. Either way, I have Carter outside the top 50 flex options for a reason.
