As the 2020 fantasy football season nears, it's time to examine players who could make or break your fantasy team. Here's a look at New England Patriots running back James White and his fantasy outlook for the season ahead.
White finished the past two seasons seventh and then 18th among running backs in PPR scoring. Among running backs, only Christian McCaffrey has averaged more targets per game over that span than White’s 7.0. New England’s offense figures to suffer with the change from Tom Brady to Cam Newton/Jarrett Stidham, and that will limit the scoring chances. But the QB change plus a lackluster pass-catching corps figures to keep White relevant.

White could be a candidate for 90 receptions in 2020. He’ll be a strong value in PPR formats but offers marginal upside elsewhere.
