Projections for the season ahead
As the 2019 fantasy football season nears, it's time to examine players who could make or break your fantasy team. Here's a look at Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen and his fantasy outlook for the season ahead.
Allen followed a worrisome seven-game TD-less streak early last year by scoring in each of the next five. He led the team in red zone targets for the second straight year, though the gap closed in 2018. Hunter Henry’s healthy return further challenges Allen’s volume in that area. But only three players drew a larger share of their team’s total targets (Allen has 136 targes) in 2018. The Chargers, meanwhile, have decreased their passing share for three straight years.
The more points you get for receptions, the bigger fantasy asset Allen is. The return of tight end Hunter Henry hurts the TD ceiling a bit.
