Is the memory of the ECR (Expert Consensus Rankings) really that short? If we look at the current Week 13 fantasy kicker rankings, the answer is apparently yes.
I know Harrison Butker is coming off a bye, so he didn't play last week. But does the ECR really think he went cold during the week off and so much so to rank him as of this article submission outside of the top dozen this week? He's a top-10 kicker this week. Have folks forgotten he was a top-five kicker two of the last three seasons?
He's been perfect on all field goal attempts under 40 yards this season, but can still hit the long ones too as he's 4-for-6 from 50 and beyond. Does that really sound like a kicker that should be outside the K1 tier?
We know he's not going to put up a donut. The Kansas City offense is just too good for him not to have at least a couple of extra points, let alone a few FG attempts. And this is a huge game against Denver this week, whom Butker has had quite a bit of success against.
Yes, KC plays Denver twice a year, but Butker faces the rest of the AFC West twice a year as well. And it helps explain why he has a career 55 points against the Chargers, his second-highest total against any team. But for his career, he has 91 points, nearly double, against the Broncos!
I know I'm glad to have Butker back this week for my primary fantasy team!
