Graham Gano, coming off of a nice Week 8 performance, may be an available fantasy option for Week 9
For many fantasy owners, the kicker position is the bane of their existence. Often, they try to pick a kicker with a favorable matchup or they draft one kicker and just leave him in their lineup until their bye week. Well it's Week 9. Six teams are on bye so many fantasy owners are probably looking to pick up a kicker this week. Remember, no kicker is worth holding onto through the bye. Drop your kicker for another. Odds are you can get your guy back. In fact, you may be able to get a kicker someone else dropped in your league.
For Week 9, Stephen Gostkowski is the top-ranked kicker. The game between New England and Green Bay Sunday night has the potential to be a high-scoring shootout. Mason Crosby is ranked within the top 10 as well. Other kickers that may be available include Graham Gano (14 percent owned), who had the third-most fantasy points at the position in Week 8. Miami's kicker, Jason Sanders, is barely owned and was in the top five for fantasy points in Week 8. Don't be afraid to grab a kicker on a team that may not have the best record; they often have to settle for field goals.
Teams on bye: Arizona, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, New York Giants, Philadelphia
