As the 2020 fantasy football season nears, it's time to examine players who could make or break your fantasy team. Here's a look at new Denver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon and his fantasy outlook for the season ahead.
Despite Phillip Lindsay’s strong first two seasons, Denver made Gordon the seventh-highest-paid running back in annual salary this offseason. Head coach Vic Fangio has said the team will figure out how to split work among its backs, but he has also called Gordon a “versatile” back who can “do all of the jobs” the position requires. Denver’s offense stood 10th-most run-heavy in Fangio’s first year and could lean even further if it wins more games.

Denver wouldn’t have signed Gordon unless it planned to put him to work. But Phillip Lindsay caps his upside. Gordon works as an RB2.
