Projections for the season ahead
As the 2020 fantasy football season nears, it's time to examine players who could make or break your fantasy team. Here's a look at New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas and his fantasy outlook for the season ahead.
Thomas has led the league in receptions for two straight seasons and set the NFL record for catches last year. He did that despite losing Drew Brees for five games. Thomas could lose some target share to Emmanuel Sanders, but New Orleans wideouts saw the position’s fifth-smallest target share in 2019 and were sixth in that respect in 2018. So Sanders could just as easily threaten others. Thomas’ elite catch rate will keep him efficient either way.

Thomas is a safer bet than just about any running back in Round 1. He’d be the first overall pick if his position weren’t so much deeper.
