After Week 1, plenty of fantasy-relevant players made their way onto the injury report. Several key wide receivers have already been ruled out (Doug Baldwin, Josh Gordon, Alshon Jeffery, Marquise Goodwin, Curtis Samuel). However, some of the big names that are listed as questionable are problematic for fantasy owners. Be sure to check the inactive report before game time as well.
Note: All games are Sunday, Sept. 16 and times are ET.
DeAndre Hopkins (foot), WR, Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans, 1 p.m.
Hopkins injured his foot in Week 1, and missed some practice time because of it. However, no one with the Texans seems to be concerned with him missing Week 2. Unless something crazy happens, Hopkins will be active and is a WR1 for Week 2
Davante Adams (shoulder), WR, Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings, 1 p.m.
Adams hurt his shoulder in Week 1, but he played through it. He missed some practice time this week, but his Week 2 status never truly seemed in doubt. He’ll be active, but he’s in a tough spot. He will likely be matched with top cornerback Xavier Rhodes, and Aaron Rodgers is also less than 100 percent. Adams owners should still start him, but he’s a WR2 and should be avoided in daily leagues.
DeSean Jackson (concussion, shoulder), WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Philadelphia Eagles, 1 p.m.
Throughout the week, it seemed like Jackson was going to miss Week 2. UPDATE: He has cleared the concussion protocol and is expected to play. The matchup against the Eagles is tougher than the Saints, so D-Jax isn’t a great start this week. He should be viewed as a WR3 with chance of in-game injury. However, if he does sit, look for Chris Godwin to step up.
Will Fuller (hamstring), WR, Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans, 1 p.m.
After missing Week 1 with a hamstring injury, Fuller is questionable for Week 2. He was able to practice this week and all signs point to him playing as well. The matchup against the Titans is a good one, and Deshaun Watson needs another solid passing option. Fuller is a WR3 if active this week.
DeVante Parker (finger), WR, Miami Dolphins at New York Jets, 1 p.m.
Parker broke his finger in mid-August and sat out Week 1 because of it. However, he was able to practice this week and looks to be active against the Jets. The Dolphins' offense is still trying to figure itself out, which makes it a mess for fantasy owners. Parker owners, to be safe, should keep him on the bench for Week 2. He’ll likely be limited coming back into the game, but it also is possible he gets in the end zone. He’s a WR4.
