Quarterback Rankings: NFL Fantasy Week 1

Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI

Assuming his elbow is fine, there's nothing wrong with counting on Matthew Stafford as your fantasy QB, but he does draw a tough Week 1 assignment against the Bills.

When looking at the Week 1 fantasy football quarterback rankings, remember that they are just that.

I might have Matthew Stafford and Derek Carr at 18th and 17th, respectively, this week, but that doesn't mean I don't think they are top-15 QBs this season. It just means not this week, Stafford especially.

Stafford has the daunting task of going up against the Buffalo defense, which gave up the fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks last year. Throw in some injury whispers, and I just don't feel confident putting Stafford much higher.

Two quarterbacks, however, whom I am extremely lower on than the Expert Consensus Rankings (ECR) are Justin Fields and Tua Tagovailoa. Both were trendy sleepers, but I'm not buying either, especially this week.

See below for the rest of my Week 1 QB rankings.
