Russell Wilson has dropped to No. 10 in the rankings and faces a tough Rams defense in Week 16
If fantasy owners could predict what the Week 16 quarterback rankings would be back in August when they drafted, they would likely laugh a bit. While some of the big names remain at the top (Patrick Mahomes being one), others have dropped a bit. Carson Wentz was drafted as a QB1 in most leagues. He's since been benched for Jalen Hurts. In his first start, Hurts didn't put up amazing numbers, but he did enough to lead the team to a victory against the Saints, one of the toughest defenses in the league. In his second start, the Eagles lost to the Cardinals, but he threw for 338 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. He added 63 rushing yards and a touchdown. Hurts faces the Cowboys in Week 16, and many fantasy owners are going to have a tough decision to make this week. Hurts is ranked No. 6, and it is likely that fantasy owners have Hurts (or could pick up Hurts) and another quarterback that is ranked within the top 10.
Russell Wilson has dropped in the fantasy rankings this week based on his performances over the past few weeks. He did throw four touchdowns against the Jets, but in the past six weeks, that is the only game where he's thrown more than two. He hasn't rushed for any touchdowns in that span, nor has he thrown for more than 300 yards. He's tossed five interceptions in those six games as well. It's not clear what the issue is, but Wilson is ranked No. 10 against a Rams defense that just lost to the Jets. The Rams are going to be fired up and they are going to want a win against a divisional opponent. It will be tough for Wilson this week.
