Fantasy owners got quite a scare when Aaron Rodgers went down in the first half of the Week 1 game against the Chicago Bears. However, he was able to finish the game, and fantasy owners just have to wait and see for Week 2. The ranking of Rodgers at No. 5 is a little lower than he normally would be, but he's also not normally only playing on one good leg. The matchup against the Minnesota Vikings is a tough one, so fantasy owners may hope the Packers rest him for a week to save him for the rest of the season.
In Week 1, the quarterback with the most fantasy points was, as we all expected, Ryan Fitzpatrick. Drew Brees and Patrick Mahomes rounded out the top three (depending on league scoring). While Fitzpatrick likely just had his best game of the season, Brees is already on a better track than he was last year. He had three touchdown passes in Week 1 after throwing 23 (fewest since 2003) in all of 2017. Mahomes did better than expected, thanks to Tyreek Hill. While the two aren't going to connect like that each week, Mahomes is a borderline QB1.
