Fantasy owners who drafted Patrick Mahomes in the mid- to late rounds on draft day have enjoyed the first two weeks of the season. Mahomes now has the record for the most touchdowns in the first two weeks of the season — not just for a rookie, but for all quarterbacks. He is on pace for an insane season... and the regression will occur. The interceptions will come, and he will have games where he doesn't throw for four or more touchdowns. But for Week 3, he's the No. 1-ranked quarterback.
Through two weeks, Ryan Fitzpatrick is the leader in terms of fantasy points. Fitzpatrick faces the Steelers on "Monday Night Football," in Tampa Bay. Both quarterbacks in that seemingly high-scoring game are ranked in the top 10, but the edge goes to Fitzpatrick. Ben Roethlisberger does struggle on the road, but sometimes playing in prime time makes up for that. Both defenses are able to be beat through the air, and both quarterbacks should be considered safe starting fantasy options in Week 3.
