Drew Brees should light up the scoreboard in prime time in Week 5
Fantasy owners who who faced Jared Goff or Kirk Cousins on Thursday night may have been slightly distraught heading into Sunday's games. Little did they know that three quarterbacks would have more fantasy points than Cousins and one of those (Mitchell Trubisky!) would have more fantasy points than Goff. Whether it is the new roughing the passer rules against quarterbacks or just that quarterback play is better, it's unclear, but plenty of points are being scored by quarterbacks this season. Drew Brees in the No. 1-ranked quarterback this week. Playing at home, in prime time and on the verge of making history, he should score plenty of points for his fantasy owners.
Ryan Fitzpatrick faltered in Week 4 and Jameis Winston stepped in. While the Buccaneers are on bye in Week 5, it seems like Winston will be the starting quarterback moving forward. Fantasy owners knew his point totals were unsustainable (Patrick Mahomes only has six more fantasy points than him to lead the position). However, Winston should be picked up in fantasy leagues — although you may be able to wait until later in the week as he's not playing this week.
Teams on bye: Chicago, Tampa Bay
