Quarterback Rankings: NFL Fantasy Week 5

Jacoby Brissett has a nice matchup against Kansas City this week

If we count Matt Barkley (with Josh Allen currently in the concussion protocol), there are eight quarterbacks not originally projected to be starting entering this season who are ranked among the fantasy options for Week 5. (That doesn't mean that they are all viable options!) That's 25 percent of the league for those of you slow at math. Remember, this is just Week 5. Still think you don't need to have a contingency plan at quarterback?

Mitchell Trubisky is expected to return sooner rather than later. In his stead will be Chase Daniel starting in London against Oakland. I've always liked Daniel and that's reflected in this week's rankings. I'm not quite ready to make him a QB1. However, I am expecting solid numbers. He takes on the Raiders this week, who happen to be giving up the sixth-most fantasy points to QBs. And that was before Vontaze Burfict got suspended for the rest of the year. I have no issues with anyone pursuing Chase depending on their options.

Elsewhere my rankings looking similar to consensus. And if you're looking for Matthew Stafford, he's on bye this week. The Dolphins also are on bye this week. Thank goodness.
