Depending on your options, Ryan Fitzpatrick could be a decent fill-in for this week
Before I dive into my Week 9 fantasy quarterback rankings, let's flashback to the first half of the Monday night game between the Dolphins and Steelers.
Sure, Pittsburgh's offense was sputtering worse than a broken garbage disposal. But it's not like the defense was exactly a steel curtain either. Ryan Fitzpatrick was picking them apart and led the Dolphins in for multiple scores almost too easily.
Fitzpatrick impressed me and I think he can have another solid game this week against the Jets. But it is for the same reason I like Jacoby Brissett this week more than consensus as well. The difference is that Brissett has already proven worthy, with 17 TD passes in seven games. He's definitely a QB1 this week in my opinion.
Of course, Brissett will be battling Mason Rudolph, who looked extremely rusty. Well, for a half at least. I think Rudolph bounces back this week, but he's still just a little short of QB1 territory.
Teams on bye: Atlanta, Cincinnati, Los Angeles Rams, New Orleans
