Quarterback Rankings: NFL Fantasy Week 9

Start 'em, Sit 'em Week 15: Ryan Tannehill

Ryan Tannehill has to face the NFL's top pass rush without the league's best running back. Talk about bad timing.

Most of the quarterbacks I like this week, I like maybe just a few spots above the ECR (Expert Consensus Rankings) for the Week 9 fantasy rankings at the position.

However, there are three I definitely like far less than others. The biggest is probably Ryan Tannehill. We could talk about all the ways his season has been a disappointment but the easy one is 10:7, as in 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions. That's not horrible but it's not exactly giving his agent much to work with either.

And I know, with Derrick Henry out (should we pause for a moment of silence?), Tannehill will likely throw the ball more. I'm not going to argue that. But do you really feel good about him facing the Rams this week?

The Rams were allowing the eighth-fewest fantasy points per game to QBs this season. And that was before they traded for Von Miller.

Even if Miller doesn't suit up for his new team on Sunday, night, there are at least 20 QBs I'd be more confident playing this week, including Jimmy Garoppolo and possibly Tyrod Taylor, who isn't even a lock to return from injured reserve. Need I say more?
