D'Andre is Swift-ly making his way up the rankings now that the Lions have turned the rookie loose
I am giving you my Week 11 fantasy football running back rankings free of any stupid puns. Or even clever ones. And given that I am talking about D'Andre Swift, I'm avoiding the temptation despite hundreds just floating there off the top of my head.
But I will remain steadfast. Which fortunately Matt Patricia and the offensive staff have not. They seemed to have wanted to keep the shackles on Swift but over the last few games they finally acquiesced and began feeding the rookie the rock. After getting 12 rushing attempts total in the first five weeks of the season, he has seen more than that in each of the last two weeks.
He has turned that into at least 60 rushing yards each of the last two weeks, but he also topped more than 100 receiving yards total during those two weeks. Just for good measure, he added a receiving TD as well.
Swift has yet to have a huge game this season, but he is starting to develop a decent floor making him worthy of being an RB1. His low ceiling makes him more of a low-end RB1, but that ceiling should continue to rise, especially this weekend against the Panthers. Carolina is giving up the fourth-most fantasy points to RBs and Swift will provide very little relief of that stat.
I have liked Swift for a while now, but I think the bandwagon will be pretty full after this weekend.
Teams on bye: Buffalo, Chicago, New York Giants, San Francisco
