Dalvin Cooks leads the league in both yards from scrimmage and total touchdowns even though he missed a game due to injury
My Week 12 fantasy football running back rankings are pretty similar to the Expert Consensus Rankings (ECR). Both are topped this week by a player that was often bypassed in the first half-dozen picks this draft season -- Dalvin Cook.
Cook is having an absolutely amazing year. He is on pace for more than 20 rushing touchdowns and about 25 total scores. That's pretty incredible. The last time that was done was by LaDanian Tomlinson in 2006, which was before the first iPhone was ever released! Tough to say if he's going to have more than 2K yards from scrimmage, but he has already eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark on the ground.
What's even more amazing is that he won't even have played a full season this year. He's having a truly historic year and I love him this week again. However, a word of caution for you dynasty players that are pushing in for this year and considering giving up the house for him.
Cook is going to give you a decent floor no matter who the matchup is. However, he does have a tough schedule during the fantasy playoffs, which could limit his upside. He faces Tampa Bay, Chicago and New Orleans during Weeks 14-16 respectively. All three of those opponents are in the top 10 fewest fantasy points allowed to running backs. And if you play your league championship game Week 16, just be aware that Saints are currently No. 1 on that list.
You've been warned.
