Running Back Rankings: NFL Fantasy Week 2

As long as Malcolm Brown gets the touches, you may as well start him

By the time the Week 2 fantasy football running back rankings are finalized, others rankings will probably be far more in line with my own. For example, at the time I created my rankings I moved Malcolm Brown up more than 20 spots. My guess is as we get closer to Sunday, my rankings will appear pretty much in line with the rest of the ECR (Expert Consensus Rankings).

My favorite quote about running backs this week might have come from my editor: "... Malcolm Brown and Nyheim Hines outscore Dalvin Cook, Alvin Kamara, Chris Carson, and the great Clyde Edwards-Helaire? What's going on here!?!?!?" But such is the case with just one week of data. I am not 100 percent convinced that Brown is going to be "the guy" for the Rams this year. I'm not even convinced that will be the case come Week 3. But for now, I'm giving him the benefit the doubt and making him an RB2 at worst.

I'm also fading David Johnson and moving him down nearly half a dozen slots. He looked great last week. But the Ravens were a swarming defense last week, limiting Nick Chubb to 60 rushing yards. Johnson is a low-end RB2 in my rankings.
