My Week 3 fantasy running back rankings are pretty similar to the Expert Consensus Rankings (ECR) this week, especially in the RB3 and below range. But once you creep beyond the RB4 range, things get a little interesting.
So I'm not advocating that Tyler Allgeier should necessarily be started this week. But this very well might be the last week that I don't advocate for him.
After being a healthy scratch in Week 1, Allgeier not only played but also saw 10 carries. Those netted just 30 yards, but it's a step in the right direction. And with tight end Kyle Pitts off to a miserable start, the Falcons are going to need to keep Cordarelle Patterson healthy. Damien Williams went on IR because of a rib injury, which means that Allgeier has a golden opportunity to share the rushing load with Patterson.
With the Seattle Seahawks in the bottom third of preventing fantasy points to running backs so far this year, Allgeier could be a very sneaky play in deep leagues.
See below for the rest of my Week 3 RB rankings.
