The fantasy running back rankings for Week 4 do not include first-round draft picks Christian McCaffrey, Dalvin Cook, or Josh Jacobs. (Maybe Jacobs wasn't a first-round pick, but he was drafted as an RB1). All three backs are or have been out and likely will not play in Week 4, much to the dismay of their fantasy managers. However, Chuba Hubbard, Alexander Mattison, and Peyton Barber have all climbed in the rankings for Week 4 as they will be the ones to benefit from the others being injured.
Rookie Najee Harris stepped up in a big way in Week 3. Between Ben Roethlisberger not throwing as hard or far as he used to (age will do that) and nearly all of the Steelers wide receivers getting injured, someone needed to catch the ball. Big Ben targeted Harris a whopping 19 times (the second-most targets for a running back in an NFL game). He caught 14 of those for 102 yards, allowing PPR fantasy managers everywhere to rejoice. While Harris may not have 14 PPR points just on catches in Week 4, he is a solid RB1.
