Running Back Rankings: NFL Fantasy Week 7

Todd Gurley is ranked No. 26, but his backup should be owned

Fantasy owners of James Conner should be happy with his Week 6 performance, although it may have come at a cost. He did leave the game with a quad injury, but he is on a bye this week so no injury updates will be revealed until next week. The top-ranked running back for Week 7 is Dalvin Cook. While the Vikings did finally find their passing game in Week 6 (sorry to anyone that played against Stefon Diggs), they are still a run-first team. The Vikings face the Lions, coming off a short week, and Cook should rack up plenty of fantasy points.

With four teams on bye, some fantasy owners may look to try to find a running back on the waiver wire. With not a lot of great options, fantasy owners should be targeting running back handcuffs. Darrell Henderson, Alexander Mattison, Chase Edmonds, Tony Pollard, Malcolm Brown, and Jamaal Williams are all backup running backs that should be owned. When your starting running back is questionable, calm the nerves by owning the backup.
