Running Back Rankings: NFL Fantasy Week 7

Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers

Chuba Hubbard is still filling in for Christian McCaffrey, but is only an RB2

With more and more injuries to the running back position, fantasy managers may be in a bind as the bye weeks continue. Kareem Hunt is now on injured reserve and Nick Chubb is banged up for the Cleveland Browns. Neither will play on Thursday night. Antonio Gibson is dealing with a shin injury and fantasy owners should keep an eye on his status heading into the weekend.

In looking at the group of running backs in the RB2 area, there are a lot of backups listed. These players are forced into a starting role, and some have had more success than others. Chuba Hubbard is certainly not Christian McCaffrey, and he's not faring as well as Mike Davis did last year. Davis, meanwhile, is struggling for Atlanta, while Cordarrelle Patterson is having a great season. The Giants, Bears, and Chiefs are all starting running backs who are not who fantasy managers drafted in the early rounds, but they could still provide value in Week 7.

And don't forget this is the big bye week with six teams sitting it out. For RBs, that means no Austin Ekeler, Ezekiel Elliott, Najee Harris, James Robinson, Tony Pollard, Dalvin Cook, Zack Moss, or Devin Singletary. Whew!
