Week 8 could see a breakout RB rookie performance from a player who has all of two carries
If you like rookies, you are going to love my Week 8 fantasy football running back rankings. I have Jonathan Taylor, J.K. Dobbins, and La'Mical Perine a combined 17 spots higher than the Expert Consensus Rankings (ECR).
However, the biggest elevation I have of a rookie over the ECR is DeeJay Dallas. I absolutely love this kid and I'm so happy I have him in my dynasty league. Do yourself a favor and watch his game tape from the Gators/Hurricanes game last year. I will remind you that Florida had the seventh-ranked defense in college football last year and Dallas ran roughshod over it.
Pay close attention to the injury reports, however. WIth both Carlos Hyde and Chris Carson potentially both out, Dallas might be the one healthy back Seattle has this weekend. I might look stupid later this week, but this early in the week I wanted to at least put him on your radar.
Already on everyone's radar and at the top of my rankings this week is Derrick Henry. He rushed for "only" 75 yards last week and he still leads the league in rushing with a lead of 100-plus yards over the next guy. Some of the players ranked behind him this week might have better games, but Henry has one of the highest floors of any RB this week. Exactly, nothing new.
Teams on bye: Arizona, Houston, Jacksonville, Washington
