Projections for the season ahead
As the 2020 fantasy football season nears, it's time to examine players who could make or break your fantasy team. Here's a look at New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley and his fantasy outlook for the season ahead.
As a rookie, Barkley ranked second in the league in touches. He slipped to ninth in touches per game last season, but he averaged 22.1 per contest after his return from the Week 3 ankle sprain. That rate would have ranked fourth at the position. His targets aren’t likely to climb back to 2018 levels because the Giants have more receiving options now. But overall offensive growth would provide him more scoring chances as the workhorse.

Barkley is as good a bet for work as anyone shy of Christian McCaffrey and a more efficient yard-gainer than Ezekiel Elliott.
