The Week 1 fantasy football tight end rankings are pretty much what would you expect.
The only possibly noteworthy difference between my rankings and the Expert Consensus Rankings (ECR) might be our difference of opinions when it comes to Irv Smith Jr.
Unlike the ECR, I have Smith just cracking the TE1 threshold for Week 1, ranked 12th. Smith is a popular tight end sleeper this season. I don't think he wastes any time and gives those owners who invested in him this preseason immediate returns.
Some of that is a solid matchup against the Green Bay defense this week, which was in the bottom third of the league last year when it came to most fantasy points allowed to TEs.
See below for the rest of my Week 1 TE rankings.
