Not a bad call last week with my Dalton Schultz pick in my Week 12 fantasy tight end rankings. Let's see if I can do it again for Week 13.
I had Schultz higher than most and a definite TE1 play last week. I have another TE this week who the ECR (Expert Consensus Rankings) has outside the top dozen TEs, but I have in my top dozen.
And maybe it feels like cheating, but that's because the said player is Logan Thomas.
The ECR for example likes Dawson Knox better than Thomas. And if you've read me this year, you know I'm a big Knox fan. However, I'm really worried about Bill Belichick eradicating him from the Buffalo game plan when the Bills play the Patriots on Monday night. And Thomas looked pretty good this past Monday night.
And we can argue whether that was a catch or not a catch for weeks. The point is that Thomas was targeted near the goal line. He's been injured most of the year, so his numbers don't look so hot.
But let's not forget that Thomas averaged nearly seven targets a game last season and turned that into 670 yards and half a dozen TDs. He's obviously not going to hit those lofty cumulative totals this year. But I like him to match those on a per-game basis. And that includes this week against the Raiders, who are allowing more than 17 PPR points per game to TEs this season. Only one team is giving up more in the entire league.
If you've been holding onto Thomas, you should begin reaping the rewards. And if he's available in your league, I would try to snag him immediately so you can play him this week.
