I'm a little scared to highlight the fact that Travis Kelce is atop my Week 14 fantasy tight end rankings. But the reasoning might be kind of silly.
It's not because I have him ranked as the No. 1 tight end this week. It's because I highlighted Logan Thomas in this space last week. He got off to a great start, hauling in three passes for 48 yards and a touchdown. But he then suffered an ankle injury, ended his day and on Wednesday morning he was put on injured reserve and is out for the rest of the season.
Let's hope that doesn't happen to Kelce!
The truth is I really haven't talked about Kelce much this season. But he is still fantasy football's top tight end this season. His scoring is down this season and he is coming off his worst game of the season — a miserable three catches for 27 yards.
He still has five touchdowns and 848 yards, easily putting him on pace for more than 1,100 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. And he should get much closer to exceeding those numbers this week when he goes against the Raiders. Las Vegas is giving up nearly 18 PPR points per game to the TE position, more than any other team playing this week. You wouldn't ever sit Kelce, but fire him up with confidence this week!
