The biggest difference in my Week 17 fantasy tight end rankings from the ECR (Expert Consensus Rankings) this week is my placement of Darren Waller. But that's probably nothing more than a higher sense of optimism to be openly honest.
I'm absolutely exhausted, but despite my weariness, I remain fairly upbeat. Maybe it's because my top TE, George Kittle, helped me earn some money back this week in my primary league. Despite not playing for four straight weeks, do you realize that Kittle is currently the No. 3 TE in fantasy football? That's pretty impressive.
Or maybe it's because I'm optimistic that my No. 2-ranked TE, Travis Kelce, is likely to come out of the COVID-19 protocols (knock knock knock) in time to play on Sunday. The only one of my teams to secure the top seed has Kelce on it, so I sure hope that's the case!
Perhaps it might be because I'm also optimistic about the No. 3 TE in my rankings this week — Dawson Knox. Knox has been the sixth-best fantasy TE this year and has helped my dynasty team stay afloat much of the season. That team is not going to finish the year with a title, but if I win this week, I'll have the third overall rookie pick next year.
I know it's been a nightmare of a season for many of us. But those tight ends that bring their top game this week could easily be the difference between winning and losing for those of us still fighting. If you're in that camp, I wish you the best of luck this week!
