George Kittle had eight catches vs. Tampa Bay last week but could have posted even better numbers
For most of this season, barring injury or their bye week, you can expect to see the same three names atop the fantasy tight end rankings. Those names are, of course, Travis Kelce, Zach Ertz and George Kittle (in some order). This is the case even though all three finished outside of the top 10 in fantasy points (Athlon scoring) last week.
But sometimes the box scores only tell part of the story. Take Kittle, for example. He had not one but TWO touchdowns called back in the opener against Tampa Bay. That's little comfort to his owners (including yours truly), but it could have been a monster week for him. in Week 2, San Francisco travels to Cincinnati, who was one of the five most generous teams when it came to fantasy points allowed to TEs last season. That bodes well for a bigger game from Kittle.
Ertz and the Eagles are in Atlanta on Sunday night. And while the Falcons were a middle-of-the-pack defense in 2018 against TES, there are still plenty of questions when it comes to this year's unit. And Kelce should be just fine as the Chiefs get the Raiders in the Black Hole.
And speaking of the Raiders, outside of the "Big 3," I like Darren Waller to continue to put up solid numbers. The duo in Indianapolis, however? Not so much.
