Tight End Rankings: NFL Fantasy Week 2

Tight End Rankings Week 4: Mike Gesicki

Don't drop Mike Gesicki yet even though he didn't record a single catch in Week 1

I could start my Week 2 fantasy tight end rankings by gloating about the Juwan Johnson call from Week 1. But instead, can we discuss Week 2? Or as I like to call it "Over-Reaction Week." Despite just one week of games, barely over five percent of the fantasy season, everyone seems to overreact. And that can be seen in the TE rankings.

I completely agree with the top of the rankings and there should be little to no surprise that Travis Kelce, Darren Waller, George Kittle, T.J. Hockenson, and Mark Andrews are all currently in my top five and most of experts' rankings as well.

But what I can't comprehend is why most experts excluded Mike Gesicki from the top dozen TEs for Week 2? I get the reasoning. Will Fuller V is returning from suspension this week. Furthermore, Gesicki's percentages of routes run, snaps played, and times targeted all dropped by more than 10 percent. But it's one week people!

I'm not going to fault those for picking Dallas Goedert or Tyler Higbee higher. But I just don't see Jared Cook outperforming Gesicki this week and others I know do. As I said, Week 2 is overreaction week!
