Tight End Rankings: NFL Fantasy Week 5

Travis Kelce has been more steady than spectacular thus far but he's still the clear-cut No. 1 option

Tight end T.J. Hockenson nor MIke Gisecki will be breaking out this week for their fantasy football owners given that both their teams are on bye. Now that's out of the way, we can get into those TEs who will be ranked for Week 5.

I don't mean to give you a heart attack, but Travis Kelce is atop my rankings this week. Again. However, Kelce has only had one great week all season, back in Week 2 when he had 100-plus receiving yards and his one touchdown this season. Yet Kelce was drafted more for his high floor than his high ceiling and he's been extremely reliable. He has yet to have less than 85 receiving yards. He's been a set-and-forget-it piece all year.

However, I think this week, in particular, he is head and shoulders above everyone else given his matchup. The Colts are giving up the third-most fantasy points to tight ends. They have done better against WRs (eighth-most fantasy points), but when it comes to covering those guys who sometimes stay in to block, Indianapolis needs improvement. The Colts are not Arizona bad, but they are bad. If Kelce doesn't hit at least 20 PPR fantasy points I'll be disappointed.
