Dawson Knox made me look smart last week after I advocated starting him just about everywhere, including my Week 4 tight end rankings. But now that millions of fantasy football players know what I knew weeks ago, I think we need to move on to someone else, no? So who is worth highlighting in my Week 5 tight end rankings?
I like Evan Engram this week.
He's not quite a TE1 yet, but I have him inside the top 15 this week in both PPR and half-PPR. He now has half a dozen targets each of the last two weeks. And with Daniel Jones looking like a viable weekly QB, we need to start looking at his receiving options. Kadarius Toney is absolutely electric after the catch, but I don't trust the rookie's route-running or his hands. I'm not sure Kenny Golladay is 100 percent yet, and we know that both Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard are battling injuries. There are a lot of mouths to feed, but I see Engram's output continuing to rise.
And it doesn't hurt that the Giants are playing the Cowboys, who have given up the seventh-most fantasy points to TEs this season.
Engram will likely go under the radar again this week, but time to put him on yours.
