So as I was putting together my Week 9 fantasy tight end rankings I received the update that T.J. Hockenson was traded to the Vikings. I like Hockenson a lot for the ROS, but he went plummeting down my rankings for this week.
I originally had Hockenson as a top-5 option this week. He was originally facing the Packers, who are absolutely Team Turmoil right now. However, instead of facing the Packers, he will be going up against the Commanders. Washington has allowed only 6.45 fantasy points to TEs per game, the fewest in the league. That's not good for Hockenson.
Looking for a better matchup? Try Evan Engram who might still be available in some leagues. He faces the Las Vegas Raiders, who have allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to TEs this season.
Engram comes in after catching his first touchdown pass of the season last week. But he is a heavily targeted option, receiving at least half a dozen in each of his last four games.
See below for the rest of my Week 9 TE rankings.
Teams on bye: Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, New York Giants, Pittsburgh, San Francisco
