As rough as the Bears' offense has looked this year, the one constant has been Allen Robinson II
Looking at my Week 10 fantasy football wide receiver rankings makes me smile. Because I know all too well that things don't work out as planned. Sometimes that is a bad thing. And sometimes things turn out okay. Such is the case of the two guys atop this week's WR rankings.
I did not dislike Davante Adams or Allen Robinson II before the season began. However, I had no intention of taking either because I had a plan and that plan did not involve either one. Well, as the old joke goes — if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans. And sure enough, I ended up drafting each of them in at least one league. And perhaps my original plan might have resulted in even more fantasy success, but grabbing Robinson and Adams worked out pretty well.
Adams has had some injury issues, but when he has played he has been a stud. Meanwhile, Robinson has been healthy all season and that's unfortunate for him. The QB play in Chicago has been so minimal that Robinson's talents are going to waste. Despite that, he's on pace to finish with more than 1,200 receiving yards and 100-plus catches. Adams has a better matchup this week, but Robinson is quickly becoming the James Lofton of his time. And it's why, unlike the rest of the experts, I'm willing to elevate him to the No. 2 spot this week.
