Alshon Jeffery may be active Thursday night, but also may not be 100 percent
The top five wide receivers for fantasy owners each week have changed from week to week. In Week 3, however, it seemed a little more like the norm. Mike Evans was the top-scoring WR with his 190 yards and three touchdowns. Keenan Allen came in a close second with 183 yards and two scores. Taylor Gabriel scored three touchdowns in the first half of the Monday night game. Unfortunately, he suffered a concussion in the second half, putting his Week 4 status in doubt. He may not be a huge waiver wire add, but he just may be an asset to the Chicago offense (and potentially fantasy teams that start at least three receivers).
Plenty of injuries have affected wide receivers. T.Y. Hilton is not ranked for Week 4 as of right now as he suffered a quad injury and his status is in doubt. The Philadelphia Eagles wide receivers also are still banged up. DeSean Jackson is not ranked as he was expected to miss at least two weeks. Alshon Jeffery (calf) is questionable, but with the Thursday night game, it may not be enough time to get him back. If he does end up playing, he isn't the solid WR2 that he would normally be. He's clearly at risk for a setback and may not play his full complement of snaps. It may be another week of Nelson Agholor.
