While injuries have not affected the wide receivers as much as the running backs, fantasy managers still need to keep an eye on the injury reports. The New York Giants and Cleveland Browns in particular have a lot of injuries at the WR position. Some teams are starting to get players back. For example, the Baltimore Ravens just added rookie Rashod Bateman into their lineup.
Other players to keep an eye on include T.Y. Hilton, who just came off of injured reserve. He had four receptions for 80 yards in his first game back. However, he did leave with a pulled quad muscle, which is concerning. His ranking is lower than it would be if he had left the game healthy. Hilton has been injury-prone and has tried to play through injuries in the past (and not succeeded). He's not the only banged-up Colts wideout either, but then again what team isn't dealing with injuries at this point?
And there's also the bye factor, especially this week. With six teams on bye in Week 7, this means these wide receivers are not available: Mike Williams, CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, Emmanuel Sanders, Stefon Diggs, Amari Cooper, Diontae Johnson, Keenan Allen, Marvin Jones Jr., Chase Claypool, Cole Beasley, Laviska Shenault Jr., or even K.J. Osborn. This is one of those weeks where roster management and depth will really come into play.
