Wide Receiver Rankings Week 8

Amari Cooper finally broke out last week with 210 yards and two touchdowns

Wide Receiver Rankings Week 7: Michael Thomas

Week 8 is here with plenty of teams on bye (six to be exact), as the fantasy season reaches a critical point and the wide receiver rankings look quite different. Julio Jones forced his way into a very nice Week 7 finish, literally ripping a touchdown pass out of a defender’s hands. Either way, his usage and targets in last week’s game should be a hopeful sign for his otherwise disappointed owners so far this season. This week he faces the Jets and could come close to matching his output from Week 7. That’s enough to keep him in the top five of the rankings.

The Vikings are in a dream matchup, but it also is an early kickoff across the pond in London, so no one can predict how those games will go. Stefon Diggs will hopefully be back, and if so is primed for a great game. Either way, Adam Thielen remains a solid WR2/3 this week.

Amari Cooper had a coming out party with a massive performance in Week 7 with 210 yards and two touchdowns, most of that coming in the first quarter. Ted Ginn Jr. continues to defy time, at least while Willie Snead is out, with another solid game (141 receiving yards). The Bears defense looked amazing last week, but I can’t foresee them shutting down the Saints this week. Michael Thomas is one of my absolute favorite plays this week and is entrenched in my top five.

Kenny Stills, Josh Doctson, Robby Anderson, Kendall Wright are fast risers and are all in my top 35 this week. With all of the byes some bench players or “unknown” guys may be viable options for hamstrung owners this week.
