Week 9 looks to be an interesting week for wide receivers from a fantasy football standpoint. Two games in particular are projected to be over 54 points — Rams at Saints and Packers at Patriots. Although the Rams have the best running back in the game, they also have some receivers who can do serious damage as well.
Aaron Rodgers has Davante Adams and a few other young upcoming weapons to utilize, and Tom Brady has Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon. Where will these guys land in the rankings this week? One thing for certain is none will be ranked above Adam Thielen, Michael Thomas or DeAndre Hopkins.
The other unique part of this week is a couple of guys will be wearing new uniforms come Sunday (although one of them will have to wait another week to get on the field in it) following the trades of Demaryius Thomas to Houston and Golden Tate to Philadelphia. Besides impacting their respective fantasy outlooks, these trades also impact Courtland Sutton and Emmanuel Sanders with the Broncos and Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones Jr. with the Lions.
And don't forget about the six teams on bye, which means no Odell Beckham Jr., A.J. Green, T.Y. Hilton, Larry Fitzgerald, Tyler Boyd or the aforementioned Tate, among others. Tate owners now have to figure out how to navigate a second bye week without him. Thomas will follow suit when the Texans have their bye in Week 10.
As always be sure to check back closer to Sunday for any last-minute tweaks to these rankings.
Teams on bye: Arizona, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, New York Giants, Philadelphia
