Fox Sports College Football Writers Address Their Future

Big changes are coming for Fox Sports, and things will be drastically different.

According to Awful Announcing, the media giant is letting go of its entire editorial and social staff in favor of more video. That means more of Colin Cowherd, Jason Whitlock, and Skip Bayless whether you want them or not. Stewart Mandel and Bruce Feldman are a couple of the top college football writers in the game and people are wondering what will happen with them.

The two addressed what's to come on The Audible. Feldman will be on the sidelines and expanding his on-air role with Fox Sports 1, but will have to find another outlet for his written words.

"My contract with Fox had ended at the end of April," Feldman said. "Going forward, I think I'll have some news shortly that I can fill people in on in the not-too-distant-future, as far as the writing side."

Most likely we're in the final days of The Audible as Mandel and Feldman will likely end up in different places. Mandel states that this will not be the last you hear from him because he fully intends to continue writing about college football. That's one thing fans will be happy to hear.

The sports journalism landscape continues to change.
