Trying to pick your optimal daily fantasy DraftKings lineup for this week's (May 11-14) PGA tournament: the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.? Our fantasy golf experts are ready to help.
Here's what our optimal lineup looks like.
Sergio Garcia ($10,200)
After his Masters win, Sergio can finally relax and stop shaking his fist at the golf gods, which makes him especially dangerous at a tournament he won in 2008. He hasn't missed a cut at The Players since 2003 and is the event's all-time leading money winner.
Jon Rahm ($9,600)
Rahm is making his Players debut, and it's risky to pick a rookie, but past performance is no guarantee at this event anyway. Rahm has five top-5 finishes this season and no finish worse than T-34. He can play anywhere.
Brooks Koepka ($8,600)
Consider Koepka's slump officially busted. His last four events look like this: T-9, T-11, 2, T-5. Guy's a birdie machine when he's on.
Phil Mickelson ($7,400)
Lefty's been a recent bust at Sawgrass, but he did win The Players in 2007 and is enjoying a resurgence at age 46 with eight top-25 finishes in 11 starts this season.
Martin Kaymer ($7,300)
Kaymer looks like a steal at this value. He's eight-for-eight in cuts made at The Players, including a win in 2014, and he hasn't missed a cut anywhere in more than a year. He has seven top-25 finishes since the calendar turned to 2017.
Kyle Stanley ($6,700)
A not-so-deep dive into Stanley's stat profile shows an unsung guy who can deliver a solid finish. He's third in greens in regulation and 15th in scoring average.
