The John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill., hosts this week's PGA Tour event on July 13-16. As such, it's time to start picking your optimal DraftKings fantasy golf lineup. Fortunately, our fantasy golf experts are ready to help.
Here's what our best John Deere Classic 2017 lineup looks like:
Kyle Stanley ($9,600)
One of the hottest players on the planet right now, Stanley has all the tools for the TPC track. His ball striking — he’s second on Tour in GIR and third in strokes gained, approach-the-green — has been flawless, and he has four top 25s in seven Deere appearances.
Ryan Moore ($9,200)
The defending Deere champ is returning from a strained shoulder tendon, which gives us pause. But check the scoring average in his last 20 rounds at TPC Deere Run: 67.20. He’s worth the risk.
Zach Johnson ($9,100)
In horse-for-course terms, Zach is American Pharoah, if not Secretariat, at TPC Deere Run. He’s won it only once, but he finished in the top three in six of seven appearances between 2009 and ’15.
Chad Campbell ($7,600)
Campbell has clawed his way back from the golf wilderness with three top-13 finishes in his last five starts, including a T9 at the Greenbrier. He’s five for his last five in made cuts at the Deere.
Johnson Wagner ($7,500)
Continuing a theme of TPC Deere Run specialists, Wagner has been tremendous in tractor-ville, with finishes of of T7, T5 and T5 the last three John Deere Classics. He had a T5 at the Quicken Loans a couple weeks ago.
Scott Brown ($7,000)
He’s four-for-five in made cuts at the Deere, with a pair of top 10s. Heckuva job, Brownie. Now do it for us this week.
