Fantasy Golf Lineup: WGC Bridgestone Invitational

The WGC-Bridgestone Invitational is set for Aug. 3-6 at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio. As such, it's time to start picking your optimal DraftKings fantasy golf lineup. Fortunately, our fantasy golf experts are ready to help.

Here's what our best WGC-Bridgestone Invitational 2017 lineup looks like:

Dustin Johnson ($11,800)

DJ’s Masters week spill was golf’s most unfortunate (and mysterious) fall since Bill Clinton tumbled down Greg Norman’s steps back in ’97. Johnson hasn’t touched his World No. 1 form since then, but a T8 in Canada was a hopeful sign. Then there’s his WGC record — five wins, including the 2016 Bridgestone.

Paul Casey ($9,000)

Casey’s been tantalizingly close: nine top-25 finishes in his last 11 outings, including four top 10s. He’s a GIR machine (fourth on Tour). Produces cash like an ATM. Seems unlikely that he’ll go the whole season without a win. It all adds up to a must-play.

Kevin Chappell ($7,500)

He checks fantasy golf’s two main boxes this week: He’s playing well at the moment (T8 at Glen Abbey last week) and he knows and likes the track (T3 in his first Bridgestone last year).

Charley Hoffman ($7,400)

Hoffman’s on a serious roll: three top 10s in his last five events, including a playoff loss in Canada. He’s three-for-three in made cuts at the Bridgestone. The Hoff is not to be hassled, nor is he to be ignored this week.

Kevin Kisner ($7,100)

Kisner has yet to miss a cut in eight WGC events, including a two-for-two at the Bridgestone, where he finished T16 last year. His win at the 2017 Dean & DeLuca came on a par-70 track — like Firestone.

Bill Haas ($6,900)

He’s won a FedExCup, so Haas is no stranger to success in big-money non-majors. A missed cut at the British Open was a temporary blip in what had been a solid two months of golf.
