What are realistic expectations of Tiger Woods’ latest “comeback” attempt?

If Tiger, 42, is healthy enough to play in all four major championships in 2018, it will be a huge success — and surprise. But recent history suggests even that goal isn’t realistic.

In the 16 major championships held over the last four seasons, Tiger has skipped 10 due to injury, missed the cut in four and managed to make the cut only twice. Tiger’s 14th and most recent major win came in the 2008 U.S. Open, when George W. Bush was President and Jordan Spieth was 14 years old.
