Warren Hills Regional High School quarterback suffered an unimaginable fate after an injury during a Friday night football game.
Evan Murray was injured in a 14-12 loss to Summit High School but, according to NJ.com, finished the game. It wasn't until after the game that he succumbed to his injuries. The senior quarterback suffered a lacerated spleen with "massive" bleeding that led to his death. Murray's spleen was abnormally enlarged which made it more susceptible to injury.
"We're all very deeply saddened by the passing of Evan Murray," superintendent Gary Bowen said.
