A's activate Davis, Mujica from DL

Oakland, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Oakland Athletics activated first baseman Ike Davis and pitcher Edward Mujica from the 15-day disabled list on Friday.

Davis last played on May 13 due to a strained left quad, while Mujica has been shelved since May 22 with a fractured right thumb.

Davis has batted .282 with two home runs and 11 RBI in 33 games with the A's this season.

Mujica has not allowed a run over five games and 5 1/3 innings with Oakland after coming over in a trade with Boston earlier this season. With Boston, the right-hander posted a 4.61 earned run average in 11 games.

Oakland optioned pitcher Arnold Leon to Triple-A Nashville and designated infielder Andy Parrino for assignment.
