Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Arizona Diamondbacks and Atlanta Braves made a trade on Saturday night involving one of the D-backs' top prospects.
Arizona shipped right-hander Touki Toussaint, the 16th overall pick in last year's draft, and veteran pitcher Bronson Arroyo to the Braves in exchange for infielder Phil Gosselin.
Toussaint, who turned 19 on Saturday, has compiled a 2-2 record with a 3.69 ERA in seven starts at Single-A Kane County this season.
Arroyo is still on the mend from Tommy John surgery last July. He made 14 starts with the D-backs last season prior to the injury, going 7-4 with a 4.08 ERA.
Gosselin, 26, hit .325 in 20 games for Atlanta this season before landing on the disabled list in May with an avulsion fracture in his left thumb.
