Diamondbacks sign Wolf to minor-league deal

Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Arizona Diamondbacks have agreed to terms with veteran pitcher Randy Wolf on a minor-league contract.

Wolf spent this past spring training with the Mariners, posting a 4.26 ERA in five starts. He was released by Seattle last month.

The 37-year-old last left-hander pitched in the majors in 2012 with Milwaukee and Baltimore, combining to make 30 appearances (26 starts).

He didn't pitch last season after having Tommy John surgery on his left elbow on Oct. 30, 2012. It was the second Tommy John surgery of his career.

In 376 career games (368 starts) with the Phillies (1999-2006), Dodgers (2007, 2009), Padres (2008), Astros (2008), Brewers (2010-12) and Orioles (2012), Wolf is 132-117 with a 4.20 ERA.
